    Summer 2022 Wishlist

    June 8, 2022 by ebengtson44

Working remotely has its perks. Mornings in my pjs, Gossip Girl playing in the background, access to my own coffee bar. Quite possibly the biggest con is that I have waayyyy too much time to online shop. I’d like to consider myself a reformed shopaholic, and while prioritizing saving is great, it’s not nearly as much fun as opening a pile of packages. So instead of happily hitting “Add to Cart,” here’s a list of everything catching my eye this season, from home decor to sneakers.

One. Coastal Ceramics from Zara Home and Anthropologie

If you read my post on Coastal Grandmother interiors, you’ll know I have been oooing and ahhhhing over Zara Home’s and Anthropologie’s latest collection of ceramics. Inspired by breezy days on the shore, these pieces are sure to elevate your next summer dinner party.

Recycled Aviva Highball Glasses in Yellow

    Bamboo Melamine Hibiscus Bowl

Two. Breezy Collection and Fruit Robe from Djerf Avenue

Speaking of breezy, Djerf Avenue has nailed that effortless look we all lean towards in the hotter months. The Breezy collection, consisting of button-down and short/pant matching sets, has just been restocked with new colors. The Fruit Robe is the ideal piece for throwing on over a bikini after a late-night swim. Don’t sleep on these; pieces sell out quickly!

Three. New Balance 990v5 and Reebok Club C 85

I have fully embraced the Hot Girl Walk and I will walk literally anywhere. I just love being outside in the sun! I have completely worn out my Reebok Club Cs and am in desperate need of a fresh pair. A white tennis sneaker is a classic that will never go out of style and is incredibly versatile. I’ve also added New Balance 990s to my list. I never thought I’d love a dad sneaker but the gray tones go with just about everything and I know from other pairs how comfortable New Balances are.

Four. One Fire Framed Print from House of Spoils

House of Spoils popped up on my Instagram feed years ago and lead way to a real obsession. These gallery-quality prints are photographed by adventurers, from stuntmen to motorcycle riders. Just one of these in your home will bring that exciting feeling that one can only relate to travel. The One Fire print from Natalie Obradovich has me dreaming of warm days with an Aperol Spritz on the Italian coast.

Five. Il Canille Print by Slim Aarons

I have always had a thing for Slim Aarons. In design school, I even recreated drafts and architectural layouts of the Kaufmann Desert House, made famous by Aaron’s photograph Poolside Gossip. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is about his work that draws me in, but they feel like being inside the set of The Talented Mr. Ripley (sans murder). The Il Canille print would be the perfect addition to a gallery wall in my living room.

Six. Colored Wine Glasses from Estelle

Nothing says summer like an ultra-chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc while hanging out on a roof terrace. I break wine glasses like no one else (I’m clumsy, what can I say?) so I don’t know how practical the Estelle hand-blown glasses would be, but they are gorgeous. I honestly don’t know if I could pick a color; a mix of all would look so fun on a white linen tablecloth or on an open shelf.

    Seven. Tortoise Glassware from CB2

I have a serious addiction to tortoiseshell. Sunglasses, phone cases, even a Connect Four set. There’s something so chic and effortless about this pattern. I have a couple of stemless wine glasses from Home Goods in tortoiseshell but I’d like to add even more to my collection. The Franklin Cooler Glasses from CB2 are offered in two sizes, and at a great price, they’re super versatile.

Eight. Capri Blue Candles from Anthropologie

If you’ve stepped foot in an Anthropologie, you’re familiar with the citrusy scent of the Capri Blue Collection. I’ve never been to Positano but I imagine this is what it would smell like. They come in a variety of sizes, patterned votives, and scents. My personal favorite is Volcano. Place one in each room to fill your home with this summery scent.
